『凡画山水，意在笔先』Traditional Chinese landscape painting requires to conceive first, and then describe it with a pen
『不下堂筵，坐穷泉壑』You can fully enjoy the fun of the banquet without going out, but the original intention of the scenery can be fully understood in your heart.
园林造“境”，如同在绘画中，画一个山水，往往不是山水，画一个花鸟，往往不是花鸟，而是要传达在山水、花鸟之外的那种韵味。
The “artistic conception” of gardens is like in painting. Painting a landscape is often not a landscape, and painting a flower and bird is often not a flower and bird, but to convey the charm beyond the landscape, flower and bird.
『仰则观象于天，俯则观法于地』Looking up is to observe the scene of the sky, and looking down is to study the laws of the earth
俯仰之间，绿荫漫漫，落瀑清音，飞虹顿起，连通天地，一池镜水，水中有山，山里有林，于咫尺空间之内俯仰天地之间，顿开尘外之想，恍入高古山林。
Between the sky and the earth, there are thick green shades, clear and sweet music from the waterfall, a bridge connecting the sky and the earth like a rainbow, a pool of mirror water, mountains in the water, and forests in the mountains. It makes people feel like a paradise, as if they have entered an ancient mountain forest.
『清风明月本无价，近水远山皆有情』The breeze and bright moon cannot be measured by money, and the near water and remote mountains carry the emotions of the viewers.
园林的亭子并非只是为了观赏亭子，更为了远在万里之外的明月与清风能够走进观者的内心。所谓 “江山无限景，乾坤一草亭”，虽小却容下天地山水，以最为朴拙的山水清音，明月清风为借景，以咫尺之间创造无限的自然。
The pavilions in the garden are not just for watching the pavilions, but also for the bright moon and the breeze that are thousands of miles away to enter the hearts of the viewers. The so-called “unlimited scenery of mountains and rivers, a grass pavilion in heaven and earth”, although it is small, it can accommodate the mountains and rivers of the world. It uses the most simple and clear sounds of mountains and rivers, the bright moon and clear wind as borrowed scenery, and creates infinite nature within a short distance.

我们把一整座山水装到庭院里，让所有的建筑抱住这个山水，建筑和园林就像一个身体的内外是分不开的，从而所有的室内看出去的时候，看到的皆是山水，在山水中游泳、就餐、休憩、运动等，目之所及可得平远辽阔，高远耸立，深远幽静之意。
We put a whole landscape into the courtyard, and let all the buildings embrace the landscape. Architecture and gardens are inseparable from the inside and outside like a body, so that when you look out from all the interiors, you can see the landscape. , Swimming, eating, resting, exercising, etc. in the mountains and rivers, as far as the eye can see, you can get the meaning of flat and vast, high and towering, profound and quiet.
『小园香径独徘徊』Small garden fragrant path wandering alone
园林所创造的不是站在外面看的，而是让人加入进去感受的，能够可行、可望、可居、可游的一个完整的活泼泼的真实流动着的生命世界。
What the garden creates is not to stand outside to see, but to allow people to join in and feel, a complete, lively, real and flowing world of life that can be walked, overlooked, lived, and played.
『一石清供，千秋如对』A piece of stubborn stone is used as an object for viewing in the book case, as if it is in dialogue with the millennium universe
园林对石头始终有着一种特殊的情感，方寸之间相对而立，如同与远古的一种对话。石不能言却最可人，寓形其间，俯仰上下。不知我之在丘壑，亦或丘壑之在我也。
The garden has always had a special feeling for stones, standing opposite to each other, like a dialogue with the ancient universe. Although stones can’t speak, they can understand people’s mood best. I will walk among the stones, look up or look down. I don’t know if I am in the valley, or if the valley is in me.
园林虽表现的是山水，但最终的追求却是时间，如同桃花源理想中的出世之地一般，纵使世事流转一眼千年，园林之内山苍树秀，水活石润，青山不老，绿水长流，融于亘古不变的永恒之中。
Although the garden expresses mountains and rivers, in the final analysis, it still pursues time, just like the ideal place of Peach Blossom Spring. Even if thousands of years have passed in the blink of an eye, the mountains and forests in the garden are lush, and the water and stones are clear and moist. The green mountains never grow old, the green water flows forever, melts into eternity and remains unchanged.
