Located in Osaka, Japan, Esalon Store has a total area of 231.00㎡ and will be completed by Japanese design firm Suppose Design Office in 2022.Suppose Design is an interior design studio based in Tokyo, Japan, established in 2000 by founders Tanijiri Makoto and Ai Yoshida. The team’s design thinking is diverse and they are always looking for something new.
The project shows the charm of “coexistence and harmony” between wood and clear cement. Suppose Design Office wants to create a comfortable, easy to use, high quality space for people to participate in a comfortable environment themselves.
Suppose Design attempts to explore and express the depth of the space’s composition, and from there, to the ambience of the space experience, seeking to create a certain signature “Esalon impression”, such as the concrete stone platform that stands out in the space.
The fusion of concrete and wood in the interior creates a warm, deep, quiet space that complements its surroundings. It is a continuous design of experience, all based on the creation of feeling and atmosphere. In addition to this, it also delves into the exploration of the concept of beauty in Japanese culture.
