The building presents a cubic shape, similar to the surrounding houses, suffering some inflections in order to provide a better answer to the lot dimensions – inclined roof and trapeze for the Auditorium.

The fact that nearby two towers are foreseen, distanced 35 meters, with fifteen floors, made us split the space of the library in two, as to focus the views towards the river and the sea.
In the exterior the roofing is covered in zinc, the first floor with a dark grey plaster and the ground floor is covered with stainless steel plates.

In the interior, the ceilings have an acoustic finishing, the walls are plastered and the pavements of the compartments are in dark wood, while the hall and the stairways are in soft grey marble.
The project also includes an access related to the new street to the South of the construction. With this “tail” the building becomes something else, something strange.
