Faena Bazaar is a renovation of the historic Atlantic Beach Hotel, built in 1939 and designed by prominent Miami Beach architect Roy France, whose work includes the Saxony and Versailles, both part of Faena District. OMA’s renovation of the historic structure preserves the form and facade of the original hotel with contemporary interventions. The facade preserves the art deco vernacular of the building’s cantilevered “eyebrow” windows and vertical fluting. Visitors can enter through the preserved lobby entrance along Collins Avenue, or from a newly inserted corridor on 33rd Street that generates direct access from the Faena Forum.

An intimate central courtyard, unified by a ceramic privacy screen, draws light down to the ground level plaza activated by events and curated retail. Circulation—elevators, pop out stairs, and corridors—are accentuated in Faena’s distinctive corporate red color, drawing visitors up to penthouse level. The rooftop pavilion and outdoor terrace provide additional event spaces with views of the Atlantic Ocean and a unique overview of the entire Faena District.
