— Surreal IPA for Surreal Times
Bådin brewed the Surreal IPA series to mark the strange and scary times we’ve been living through since the pandemic hit the world in 2020. The first in the series highlights the start of the pandemic and the lockdown, the second addresses the disappointment of being hit with the second wave of Covid. The third and final version addresses the horror of coming out of a global crisis just to see it replaced with an unnecessary and incomprehensible war in Eastern Europe. We chose to illustrate these trying times with psychedelic patterns in striking colors, to convey the feeling of the world being out of balance and our lives being in limbo.
