Scabal’s first private lounge and tailoring store for the Chinese market. The brand engaged with Spacemen to create the ultimate gentlemen’s secret hideaway. Situated in the heart of Xintiandi in Shanghai’s main shopping district, the ‘Man Cave’, was designed so that the guests can relax, unwind and talk about fine tailoring. Built as massive walk-in wardrobe with a the diamond shaped stone counter positioned in the center of the store serving as a worktop to discuss fabrics samples by day which can turn into a boys’ poker night table by nightfall. A rich combination of dark stained timber, brushed brass, dark grey carpets, grey stone and a wide range of fabrics from Scabal’s own suit line were used in the build. A hidden fitting room, lined with a dark blue window pane fabric from Scabal, is concealed behind the brass framed triple mirror.
