M Stand静安寺店位于久光商场的二层，原始平面为不规则的流线形，拥有一个广阔且视野良好的露台。原空间的室内净高约为4.8m，对于咖啡空间而言相对疏远，设计的起点意在充分利用空间高度的同时，营造出适合探索和交谈的空间。
M Stand at Jing’an Temple is located on the second floor of Jiuguang shopping mall. The original plan is irregular streamline shape, and it has a wide and good view from the terrace.The height of the original space is about 4.8m, which is relatively distant for the coffee space. The starting point of the design is to make full use of the space height while creating a space suitable for exploration and conversation.

不规则的平面不准许平面上有过多的划分。设计师希望均质的空间在体验上富有变化，设计了四个“筒”状结构从顶上罩下，仿佛四个不同的房间。从室外看，内部的空间被包裹着光线的筒状结构充满，暗示人们一探究竟。而进入内部，筒内宽敞明亮，笼罩着前来休憩的人们。

The irregular plan obviously does not allow too much division. However, the designer hopes that the homogeneous space will be full of changes in experience, and four “elliptical cylinder” structures are designed from the top to the bottom, as if four different rooms. Viewed from the outside, the interior space is filled with cylinders of light, implying that people can explore the truth. Inside, the cylinder is spacious and bright, covering the people who come to have a rest.

四个筒微弱的划分出四个使用空间，对应不同的使用状态。使用者从筒的下方进入内部，等待饮品或者围坐谈心，独自临窗而坐，或者爬上台阶进入筒中。筒的下边缘标高经过现场反复模拟推演，最终定在2.3m高度，希望在保证视觉通透的同时，使用者能与筒状结构发生更加亲密的互动关系。
The four elliptical cylinders are weakly divided into four spaces, corresponding to different use states. The users enter the interior from the bottom of the cylinder, waiting for drinks or siting around , siting alone by the window, or climbing up the steps to enter the cylinder. The elevation of the lower edge of the cylinder is 2.3m. It is hoped that the user can have a closer interaction with the cylinder structure while ensuring the visual permeability.

吧台、台阶、固定座椅等以几何的形式搁置在地面，并分别与上层结构发生关系，看似随机的平面暗含对位关系，试图在不规则中寻找某种秩序。
The bar, steps, fixed seats and so on are placed on the ground in geometric form, and are related to the superstructure respectively. The seemingly random plane implies the counterpoint relationship, trying to find some order in the irregular.

夜幕降临，M Stand静安寺店会从咖啡厅转化成一间酒吧，迎接着归家前的人们。灯光昏黄暧昧，筒下的空间更加静谧和感性，适合围坐，促膝而谈。
As night falls, M Stand will transform from a coffee shop into a cocktail bar. The light turn ambiguous, and the space under the elliptical cylinder become more quiet and emotional. It is suitable for sitting around and chatting.
