New Year 2019
The future belongs to the nation that best educates its citizens.
Designing Educational Spaces: A Case Study of Skolkovo International School, an Innovative Project Developed by the Architectural Bureau “AB ELIS”.
School becomes a lighthouse of education.
The architectural design of a school should be flexible, to accommodate both modern and evolving pedagogy; oriented to the future, to ensure the possibility of redistribution and reconfiguration of the place; bold, to go beyond traditional technology and teaching practice; and creative, to stimulate and inspire students and teachers.
A learning space should be able to motivate learners and promote learning as an activity, support collaborative as well as formal practice, provide a personalised and inclusive environment, and be flexible in the face of changing needs.
The motivation of learners is the ultimate end product. We designed spaces that foster effective learning. The honeycomb form of classes makes it easy for a teacher to work with multiple techniques.
The school design becomes a symbol for cognitive architecture.
