The port of Genoa is a major Italian seaport on the Mediterranean and is Italy’s busiest port by cargo tonnage. This project enabled to increase and reorganise the port’s facilities on a grand scale, and became known from its early phases as Renzo Piano’s Genovese ‘fresco’.
