“阴影”的创造是建筑乃至场所的起源 ——费恩
建造基于场地，对所处环境的反应，并尽可能揭示出场地已有及未呈现之特征，好的建筑便是所在场地的延续，地势清晰/暧昧的褶皱成为建筑形式供给的源泉，对土地的挖去与还原，覆盖，构成对场景的限定，获得阴影的遮蔽，融入场地并激发新的景观。
The creation of “shadow” is the origin of architecture and even place—Fehn
The construction is based on the response of the site to the environment, and reveals the existing and non presented features of the site as far as possible. Good architecture is the continuation of the site. The clear / ambiguous folds become the source of architectural form supply. The excavation and restoration of the land, covering, constructing the limitation of the scene, obtaining the shade, integrating into the site and stimulating new landscape.

本项目位于海南省三亚清水湾，游艇码头西南侧，居住区东北侧。西北侧是城市主干道，东侧、南侧是滨海栈道，海湾。地块从西北向东南倾斜约4米高差。场地呈现西北侧的城市界面与东南侧自然界面的双重属性。整体规划建筑的外部体量西北侧低，东南侧高。压低了入口的高度使面向社区的界面更加亲和友善融入社区；借助场地自然高差抬升的临海体量，使从海面上看到的演艺中心的天际线更具展示性和标识性。

The project is located in clear water bay, Sanya, Hainan Province, southwest of yacht wharf and northeast of residential area. The northwest side is the main road of the city, the east side and the south side are the coastal plank road and the bay. The block is inclined from northwest to Southeast with an elevation difference of about 4 meters. The site presents the dual attributes of the urban interface in the northwest and the natural interface in the southeast. The external volume of the overall planning building is low in the northwest and high in the southeast. The height of the entrance is lowered to make the community oriented interface more friendly and integrated into the community; with the help of the sea front volume raised by the natural elevation difference of the site, the skyline of the Performing Arts Center seen from the sea is more demonstrative and iconic.

东南侧连续坡道是组织建筑室内外空间的要素，它最大化程度的延续和丰富滨海配套区的商业、休闲生活。不论白天和夜晚，演艺中心都带动整个片区的活力。坡道构成了对场地的缝合与介入，制造了场地的阴影。阴影遮蔽构成场地每一处场景不同程度的幽暗，每一处坡道都指向周边不同的景色——海，船，天空，人群，所有的片段搜集到一处，纳入建筑的漫步，步移景异，周遭互动中多样的要素保持各自独立的特性，区分空间的远近，同时构成整体场地氛围。
The southeast continuous ramp is the key element to organize the indoor and outdoor space of the building, which maximizes the continuity and enriches the commercial and leisure life of the coastal supporting area. Both day and night, the Performing Arts Center brings the vitality of the whole district. The ramp forms the stitching and intervention of the site and creates the shadow of the site. Shadow shading makes up different degrees of darkness in each scene of the site, and each ramp points to different surrounding scenery – sea, boat, sky, crowd. All the fragments are collected into one place, which is included in the stroll of the building, the step-by-step scenery, and the various elements in the surrounding interaction maintain their own independent characteristics, distinguish the distance of the space, and form the overall atmosphere of the site.

同时坡道延伸至室内，与室内空间组织大厅流动的空间重叠渗透，模糊室内外空间界限，东侧出挑坡道遮挡了三亚的阳光，形成热带的阴影，淹没在场地之中。坡道作为连接功能的路径，在整体场地抬升过程中串联剧场，培训，餐厅等多样功能，是滨海生活向不同空间维度的延续。

At the same time, the ramp extends to the interior, overlaps and penetrates with the flowing space of the indoor space organization hall, blurs the boundaries of indoor and outdoor space, and the East ramp blocks the sunshine of Sanya, forming a tropical shadow and drowning in the site. As the path of connecting functions, the ramp connects theater, training, restaurant and other functions in the process of lifting the whole site, which is the continuation of coastal life to different spatial dimensions.

建筑根植于土地之上，天空之下。通过对地形、阳光与阴影的精确控制，从而限定一处场所，激发场地的能量，实现建造的意义。
Architecture is rooted in the land, under the sky. Through the precise control of terrain, sunlight and shadow, a place can be limited, the energy of the site can be stimulated, and the significance of construction can be realized.
